New Movement at Mt. Sequoyah is the latest community-integrated residency of the dance collective, BODYSONNET, in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. New Movement will be developed through the personal histories of the people whose lives have been shaped by Mt. Sequoyah and the Ozarks. This work will invite performers and audience members alike to consider collective memory, how we construct and recall memories, and how it can inform our relationship with ourselves, others, and the ground on which we live.
